Only a passionate socio-cultural movement and reawakening can channel the minds of its people in the right direction of mutually respectful, peaceful, collaborative and meaningfully healthy coexistence. And, only the efforts of such a movement, if sustained, can have a perpetual impact in terms of curing a society or a nation that is increasingly being plagued and beleaguered by the negative forces of extremism and violence on the divisive basis of region, religion, race, caste, community, etc.; atrocities against women and children; and outbursts of frustrations stemming from extreme poverty, unemployment, un-employability, etc.
This strongly held idea is the seed that germinated and blossomed into what is 'Chintak Association for Cultural Advancement (CHACA)' today. CHACA is a non-profit, non-religious, non-governmental, non-political humanitarian sociocultural organization,which was formally launched in 1998 on the initiatives of a few local culturallyrich, and sincere and dedicated triers in the form of men and woman from varied disciplines intenton promoting socio-cultural activities and its everlasting impact and implications.
Since its inception, CHACA has dedicated itself to the cause ofuplifting the lives of backward and downtrodden women and children through awareness-raising, capacity-building, institutional development, hygiene and sanitation, healthcare, and so on.
CHACA also playsan instrumentalrole inthe sustainable development of the deprived–the section of society suffering from abject squalor–bymakingthem economically and socially stable. Besides, CHACA carries out various programmes such aswomen and children right; violence against women, health and hygiene through enhance knowledge and skill to improve their family and social status.

The thousands of years-old Bengal culture has thrived along the mightyrivers such as the Padma, the Meghna, the Jamuna, and the Brahmaputra. And, CHACA, the proud torchbearerfor today's generation and the generation next, worksacross the nation of Bangladesh, with a strong and vibrant presence in the districts of Gaibandha, Joypurhat, Rongpur (Dinajpur), Bogura and Naogaon.
